Vietoris quick in GP2 test
Gravity driver Christian Vietoris enjoyed an impressive debut in GP2 at this week's test organized at Jerez.
Running one full day with the DAMS team, the young German was 4th fastest in the morning's session and 9th in the afternoon , but without getting the best out of his tyres.
"This was a great experience and I'd like to thank DAMS and everyone involved for the opportunity. I was pretty much at ease with the car after only 5 laps and everyone in the team was helpful in getting me to adapt to a car which is much more powerful than my usual F3 car. I believe I showed I that I can be competitive in GP2, but in the mean time my focus remains on the F3 Euro Series which continues this weekend at Dijon. I'll be going for an outright win in order to keep the pressure on Jules Bianchi and remain in the running for the title."
