Gravity drivers to visit Kart Challenge in Kerpen

Considered as a low-cost and relatively safe way to introduce young drivers to motor racing, kart racing has seen several generations of its representatives shoot for the stars in the past 20 years. Many F1 drivers and several World Champion’s - including Michael Scumacher and Lewis Hamilton - took their first step in kart racing, learning their trade and honing their raw talent in the ultra-competitive and precise wheel-to-wheel environment.
This year, Gravity Sport Management will once again sponsor the Kart Challenge in Kerpen (www.kart-challenge-kerpen.de), an event showcasing the talents of tomorrow. Gravity drivers and Mücke F3 team mates Marco Wittmann and Christian Vietoris will be visiting the popular event this weekend, and spending time with the up and coming crop of talent. Both drivers will be on hand to offer advice on establishing a racing career while also handing over the trophies to the relevant race winners.
“Without doubt, kart racing is the very best school to learn racing”, says Christian Vietoris. “To win in karting you need quick reflexes, precise control and decision making skills, all the ingredients required at the higher levels of motor racing.”
Gravity Sport Management’s Brigitte Schmitz, values the importance of supporting young talent in its quest for stardom: “That’s exactly our job, to seek out and identify future race winners and help them develop their skills so they can enjoy a successful career. That’s why we consider it important to support this event and have a couple of our drivers on hand to meet with some aspiring champions. After all, karting is where it all started for so many great drivers…”
