Christian Vietoris secures podium finish

Three weeks after running in the Masters event, Gravity driver Christian Vietoris headed back to the scenic Dutch dunes for the 7th and 8th rounds of the Euro Series F3 Championship. While series leader Jules Bianchi took pole for Saturday's opening race in a qualifying sessions disrupted by stoppages, Christian secured a place on the first row of the grid alongside the Frenchman.
In race 1, Christian tried his best to keep up with the dominant Bianchi, running second behind the ART driver before succumbing to an attack by the Finn Bottas in the later part of the race and crossing the line in third position. "I held my position behind Bianchi until the safety car came out and on the restart, I tried to get the better of him, but lost some downforce in his wake and the enabled Bottas to pass me at the first corner." That result, along with his 4th place finish on Sunday, consolidates the young German's second place position in the series standings. "The next stop is Oschersleben in two weeks, and a win will definitely be what I will be looking for."
